This is an open ocean tournament within US Territorial and International Waters. Fishing in Bahamian Waters is prohibited. Tournament officials reserve the right to check the boat’s chart plotter breadcrumb trails.
In the event of unsafe weather or sea conditions, tournament officials may choose to postpone the tournament. Captains are ultimately responsible for their crew and should make the decisions regarding sea and weather conditions.
Any protests concerning the conduct of an angler or rules violation must be filed in writing to tournament officials no later than 3 PM on the day of the tournament. Do not put lead weights in your fish as the lead will melt and ruin most grills. Anyone found guilty of cheating will be banned for life from the fishing tournament but will probably be highly sought after for the SFCA Golf Tournament. If you are caught kidnapping a fellow angler in an attempt to keep them from participating and thus gain an advantage, you will be banned for one year. You can appeal the decision and will probably be reinstated. All decisions made by SFCA President and/or Chairman Tom Worthington are final.
